3 Peaks Medical
Where clarity begins to take shape
Our story
Some questions about the mind resist easy answers. At 3 Peaks Medical, we hold space for that complexity rather than smooth it over. Care here moves at the pace of actual understanding, not the pace of a checklist.
3 Peaks Medical came together out of a conviction that outpatient psychiatry and therapy work best when they share the same clinical gravity — when medication decisions and therapeutic insight inform each other in real time. The founders believed Arizona's adult population deserved integrated mental health care that treated the whole landscape of a person's experience, not isolated symptoms routed through separate silos.
What we hold ourselves to
- Integration over referral chains. when psychiatry and therapy share a practice, the distance between a medication question and a relational one narrows to something workable.
- Honesty about uncertainty. clinicians at 3 Peaks Medical will tell you when a diagnosis is still forming or when the evidence for a treatment is limited, because that honesty belongs in the room.
- Presence before protocol. every intake begins with listening before it begins with categorizing, because the person usually arrives before the diagnosis does.
- Restraint with language. we use plain, precise words in session and in our written communications, because inflated clinical jargon often signals less understanding, not more.
- Respect for adult autonomy. you participate in decisions about your own treatment; informed consent at this practice means genuinely informing, not just signing a form.
- Sustained attention over high volume. we make deliberate choices about caseload size so that no clinician is running on the margins of their capacity when you arrive for your appointment.
Our clinical team
The clinical team at 3 Peaks Medical is composed of board-certified psychiatrists and licensed psychotherapists whose training spans multiple modalities — cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and integrative approaches among them. Credentials here are treated as a foundation, not a finish line; ongoing consultation and continuing education are woven into how the practice sustains its clinical standards.
How we work
Integration as a practice, not a promise
Psychiatry and psychotherapy operate under one roof with deliberate coordination. Your prescriber and your therapist are not strangers to each other's thinking — they share a clinical frame, and that coherence reaches you in every session.
Time that allows real work
Appointments are structured to let a conversation breathe. We resist the shortened clock that compresses clinical care into something transactional, because the most useful observations rarely surface in the first few minutes.
Evidence that earns its place
Treatment selections at 3 Peaks Medical are grounded in current psychiatric and psychotherapeutic research. We adopt new approaches when the evidence is sound, and we remain skeptical of novelty for its own sake.
Continuity with the same clinician
Being passed between providers erodes the kind of trust that makes honest disclosure possible. We prioritize consistent assignment so that the clinician who assessed you at intake is, in most cases, the one who follows your care over time.
